A 3-month single entry visa permits only a single entry into Vietnam and its validity lasts for 90 days. Please be advised that if you leave the country during this period, the visa will become invalid. If you wish to stay in Vietnam beyond the 3-month validity, you will need to extend the visa. However, if you opt for a 3-month multiple entry visa, you will have the flexibility to enter and exit Vietnam multiple times within the 3-month period, until the visa expires.
Types of 3 months E-visas
In Vietnam, 3-month visas are categorized into 2 types including single-entry and multiple-entry visa.
Single entry visa (3 months)
A single entry visa is a kind of visa that is valid for 3 months (90 days) and only allows a single entry to Vietnam. It means foreigners can enter Vietnam only once throughout the period of the 3-month stay and no matter when they exit, the visa will expire. Then, you are required to apply for a new visa if you want to enter Vietnam again.
Multiple entry visa (3 months)
Compared with single-entry, a 3-month multi-entry visa has the same duration of stay yet allows foreigners to enter and exit Vietnam multiple times for a maximum stay of 3 months (90 days). Foreigners can exit Vietnam and return at any time until the visa expires.

Requirements Documents
Before applying for a Vietnam e-visa, please make sure to prepare well:
- Read the eligibility of passport issuing country - Link
- Scan or take a photo of your original passport (full page), which is at least six months in validity following the arrival date;
- Passport-style photo (no glasses) (soft file, 30x40mm);
- Ensure you have your travel plans: phone number, Vietnamese accommodation address, and arrival date;
- When all documents are ready, kindly register through our portal.

It usually takes 5-7 working days for the Vietnam Immigration Department to approve your application.
